Roy B. Smith, 53, of Manchester, was born, March 15th, 1960, and passed away, Tuesday, October, 22nd, 2013 at the University of KY. Medical Center in Lexington.
He is survived by his wife: Loretta Smith, of Manchester, and these children, Steven Smith, and wife, Candace, of Manchester, and Michelle Smith Mills, and husband, Jason, of Flat Lick, and these grandchildren, Joshua Mills, Breann Mills, and Nathaniel Smith.
He is also survived by one brother, Arvin Smith, and wife, Carolyn, of Manchester, and these sisters, Evelyn Simpson, and husband, Herman, Irene Simpson, and husband, Willie, Shelia Hubbard, and husband, Alan, all of Manchester, and Rebecca Smith, and husband, Ernie, of Lockard's Creek.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Lester and Alice Smith, his brothers, Otis Smith, Kenneth Smith, Dennis Smith, and Carl Dean Smith, his sister, Linda Smallwood, and two nephews, Kelly Simpson, and Randy L. Simpson.
He also leaves a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his death.
Funeral services for Roy B. Smith will be held 2 PM Saturday at the Hubbard Missionary Baptist Church with Herman Mills officiating. Burial will follow in the Clay Jackson Cemetery on Mill Creek. Visitation will be after 6 PM Friday at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel and after 10 AM Saturday at the church.
