Charles Hyden, 79, of Oneida, passed away Sunday November 3rd, 2013, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
He is survived by his wife Sadie and the following children: Charlene Duff and husband George, Marlene Grubb and husband Ken, and Vivian Shepard and husband James Delbert.
Also surviving are 3 grandchildren: Cheryl Coleman, Oneida, KY, Kenneth Bryan Grubb, Hamilton, OH, and Jessica Renee Daugherty, Gray Hawk, KY, and 13 great grandchildren: Greg Coleman, Charlsie Coleman, Destiny Duff, Jesse Duff, George Douglas Duff, Damien Duff, Deseray Grubb, Charles Grubb, Kierra Daugherty, Hope Daugherty, Faith Daugherty, Maraylen Shannon, and Kaliyah Shannon.
He is also survived by one sister, Grace Jean Cahill, Florence, KY, and two brothers, Raleigh Jr. Hyden, Oneida, KY, and Roy Wayne Hyden, Florence, KY.
He is preceded in death by his parents Raleigh and Doak Hyden, one sister, Loretta Barrett, and one grandchild, John Duff.
The funeral service for Charles Hyden will be held 2 PM Wednesday at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with Henry Lloyd Deaton officiating. Burial will follow in the Hyden Family Cemetery at Sol Hollow. Visitation will be after 6 PM Tuesday at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel.
