Mr. Homer Brown, age 95 of Crawfish Road in Manchester, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at his home.
He was born on Saturday, May 11, 1918 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Robert F. and Ida Hart Brown. He was an owner and operator of a coal mine and was a Veteran of World War II where he served in the United States Army.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his daughters: Patty Howard and her husband Jerry of London, Paula Stumbo and her husband Phil of Lexington, and Robin Hensley and her husband Mike of Manchester, these grandchildren: Angela Howard, Shawna Howard and her husband Tommy Smith, Connor Hensley, and Landon Hensley, and two great grandchildren: Kelsey Perkins and Nathan Perkins. Also surviving is his brother: Bobby Brown and his sisters: Ann Minton and Mary Gregory.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Robert F. and Ida Brown, his wife: Clara H. Brown, and these brothers and sisters: Don Brown, Johnny Brown, Eileen Brown, Nell Reynolds, and Alice Brown.
Funeral services for Mr. Homer Brown will be conducted on Friday at 12 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Anthony Lovett will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Manchester Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held on Thursday evening after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
