Mr. Jimmy Murphy, age 74, of Curry Branch Community departed this life Sunday, June 29, 2014 at the Hospice Care Center in Hazard, KY.
He was born November 26, l939 to the union of Charlie and Mae Mills Murphy. He was a member of the Freedom Baptist Church.
Surviving Mr. Murphy is his wife: Ollie Curry Murphy-- his children: Jeffrey Murphy and wife Leshay and Linda Senters and husband Mark and the following grandchildren: Amy Stewart, Marla Hacker, Brittany Burns, Jillessa Napier and husband Steven, Brent Senters and wife, Vanessa and Brandon Senters. Also, surviving are these grandchildren: Paige Bowling, Marlie Hacker, Carter Hacker, Rusty Bowling, Leah Napier, McKinlee Burns, and the father of Marla Hacker and Amy Stewart—Michael Stewart and these sisters and brothers: Hazel Slusher, Charlie Murphy, Jr., Oma Smallwood, Frances Wagers, Ninnie Jones, Lillie Hibbard, Charlene Murphy, and Mary Murphy. He was preceded in death by his parents—Charlie and Mae Murphy, his daughter: Kendall Stewart, his sister: Ruby Murphy.
Funeral Services for Mr. Jimmy Murphy will be conducted on Wednesday, July 2, at 1 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. George Roberts will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Curry Branch Cemetery, Curry Branch Community.
Visitation will be on Tuesday evening, after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
