Mr. Fred L. Brockman, age 89 departed this life on Sunday, August 24, 2014 at the Manchester Memorial Hospital.
He was born on Saturday, February 7, 1925 in Centerville, Indiana to the union of Robert and Gracie Callahan Brockman. He was retired from the Rominger Funeral Home where he worked for over 37 years, a member of the Lyttleton Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Army where he served in World War II.
He leaves to mourn his passing his children: Lois Jean Bundy of Manchester, Cindy Peterson and her husband Tom of Shelbyville, Judy Woods and her husband Vernon of Manchester, J. C. Hoskins and his wife Patricia of London, Gary Brockman of Manchester, Freddie Brockman Meece and her husband Russell of Manchester, Linda Kay Sizemore and her husband Ronnie of Manchester, Edith Smith and her husband John of Glenburn, Maryland, Mary Ann Hays and her husband Tom of Indiana, John D. Ressler and his wife Norlene of Marion, Indiana, Grace Henderson of Gas City, Indiana, Carol Spence and Delois Jean Hayes and her husband Tom of Indiana. Also surviving are 27 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and his siblings: Fletcher Brockman and his wife Jean of Richmond, Indiana, Wanda Reed and her husband Jay of Grandview, Indiana, and Lucille Brockman of Richmond, Indiana.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Robert and Gracie Brockman, his wives: Mary Elizabeth Brockman and Mary Deliah Brockman, his children: Robert Brockman, George Brockman, Julia Brockman, and Debra Sue Brockman and these siblings: Erskin Brockman, Verna Marie Campbell, Carlos Brockman, George Brockman, Charlie Brockman, Otis Brockman, Eddie Brockman and Julia Brockman.
Funeral Services for Mr. Fred L. Brockman will be conducted on Wednesday, August 27th at 11 AM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Ken Bolin, Bro. Wesley Rominger, and Bro. William Hugh Hudson will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Brockman Cemetery in the Lover’s Leap Community with full military honors.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
