Jim "Horndagger" Short, 67, of Manchester, was born October 28th, 1946 in Clay County, Kentucky, and passed away Monday, October 13th, 2014 at the Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin.
He was the beloved husband of Kimberly Davidson Short of Manchester, a brother to Bobby (Wanda) Short of Hamilton, Ohio, and two sisters, Janet Coffey of Jackson County, KY, and Lisa (Steve) Haddock of Dayton, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Odell and Emma Shelton Short, and one sister, Margaret Ann Reid.
Jim "Horndagger" Short, as he was referred to by friends, also leaves many many friends and a host of relatives to mourn his passing.
Jim was a great carpenter and loved the times he spent with his buddies, golfing, camping, fishing, and just hanging out. His carpenter works are well known throughout Kentucky and Ohio. Jim never lost faith and continued to witness for the Lord, even during his time of trials and suffering. Jim is at rest now with the Lord.
Funeral services for Jim "Horndagger" Short will be held 11AM Thursday, October 16th, 2014 at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with David Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Davidson Cemetery on Sutton Branch.
Visitation will be after 6PM Wednesday, October 15th, 2014 at the Britton Funeral Home.
