OP-ED by Brent Willoughby

The recent FBI raid of former President Trump's home has set off a firestorm of partisan attacks and counterattacks.  Who's to blame? How could this happen? Was it justified?  Depending on which side of the political aisle you identify with, you probably have started to form your own opinions.

Everyone has their own favorite news source and oftentimes they do not question the media coverage that they subscribe to.  Very few people will try to gather information that does not correspond with their own personal ideologies and that allows for unfair and unbalanced coverage to flourish on both sides.

Op-Ed: A Volunteered Response to Intentional Ignorance

Opinion Editorial by Brent Willoughby

The English language has been described as one of the most difficult languages to learn or understand as a second language. Even people who grew up with it as their first and only language still have difficulty with it. That is because most words have multiple meanings and connotations and this can create confusion.

Different regions speak different dialects and as a result people from outside a particular region may have trouble communicating with the people of that region. Then on top of all that individuals who specialize in a particular trade craft begin to use jargon specific to their craft.

I know it can be confusing.

Recently the Manchester Enterprise published an article on July 8th, 2022 entitled "Hoskins Cemetery now relocated" about the completion of moving the Hoskins Cemetery.  In this article the unnamed author claimed that "all deceased persons had been moved to Memorial Gardens or 3 private cemeteries."  The headstones had been collected and the one's that could be re-used at the family cemeteries would be.   Markers had been ordered for the deceased being relocated to Memorial Gardens and the rest, "not being utilized are being stored by the board of education until research could be done to see who had a legal right to claim them." Lastly the article states "They will remain stored until a determination is made."
