One Year Later Eastern Kentucky Continues to Recover After Devastating Floods

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) delivered the following remarks Tuesday on the Senate floor regarding the one-year flooding anniversary in Eastern Kentucky:

“Tomorrow will mark one year since the brave people of Eastern Kentucky endured some of the worst flooding in the Commonwealth’s history.

FRANKFORT, KY – Attorney General Daniel Cameron opposed a Biden Administration rule that would provide illegal aliens with federal public benefits.

BARGERSVILLE, IN - An event to honor the life of Trooper Aaron Smith is happening this Sunday, July 30, 2023 in Bargersville. The celebration of life will include several opportunities to join others for a workout, followed by ceremony to honor Trooper Smith and his family. The funds raised will directly support Trooper Smith's wife and family. 

SHERMAN COUNTY, OR - On Friday, July 21, 2023, at approximately 4:16 P.M., the Oregon State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on Hwy 97, near milepost 26, in Sherman County.

CLACKAMAS COUNTY, OR - On Sunday, July 23, 2023, at approximately 10:46 A.M., the Oregon State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Hwy-211, near milepost 25, in Clackamas County.

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Two apparent runaway juveniles reported last seen Tuesday off Keavy Road southwest of London, KY may be armed with knives.
