KSP Vehicle Enforcement Makes Drug and DUI Arrest


Williamsburg, Ky. - On Wednesday October 26th 2016 around 4:30 P.M. Officer Tyler Teaney with Kentucky State Police-Vehicle Enforcement stopped a commercial vehicle for speeding on I-75 near the 15 mile marker southbound in Whitley Co. Kentucky.

During the course of the traffic stop, and through investigation, Officer Teaney arrested 50 year old David L. Davis of Unicoi Tennessee for Operating a Commercial Vehicle under the Influence of Drugs. Further investigation and after a voluntary admission, Officer Teaney located prescription Oxycodone (not in proper container), Synthetic marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia, and an unknown powder that is believed to be other controlled substances.

Davis was arrested without further incident and lodged in the Whitley Co Detention Center. Charges include: Speeding, Prescription Controlled Substance Not in Proper Container, Possession Controlled Substance 1st degree (Drug Unspecified), Possession of Synthetic Drugs, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and DUI-Commercial Vehicle.
