FRANKFORT, Ky. — The Kentucky State Police is testing for Cadet Class #98, which is scheduled to begin in May of 2019 for the top 90 candidates.

To be eligible, applicants must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or GED and three years of full-time work experience or 60 semester hours of credit from an accredited college or university. Eligibility can also be met as a high school graduate with at least two years of active military duty or two years of experience as a full-time, sworn law enforcement officer. Cadets can now earn an Associate’s Degree while training at the academy.
Applicants will need to submit a copy of their birth certificate, driver’s license and high school diploma. Deadline for the May 2019 cadet class is October 8, 2018.

For an appointment to the KSP Academy, applicants will be expected to successfully complete a written and physical fitness test, an oral interview, background investigation, psychological and physical evaluation.

OCTOBER: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11
TIME:
9:00 a.m. – Noon
Arrive at 8:30 for check-in prior to the test. Bring the completed application and required documents with you. No pre-registration is required.
