ELIZABETHTOWN, KY – A Pursuit starting on the Western Kentucky Parkway ended on the Interstate 65 exit 94 north bound off ramp. On Sunday, October 17, 2021 around 2:52 P.M. ET, a Kentucky State Police Post 4 Trooper observed a speeding Yamaha motorcycle traveling east bound around the 132 mile marker on the Western Kentucky Parkway. The Trooper initiated his emergency equipment and the operator failed to yield.
The operator of the motorcycle entered Interstate 65 north bound at the 91 mile marker. The subject continued north bound before exiting I-65 at the 94 off ramp.
The subject lost control of the motorcycle on the off ramp and was critically injured. The subject was transported by Hardin County EMS where he was pronounced deceased.
The investigation is ongoing by Sergeant Scott Rafferty with the Critical Incident Response Team.
