BARBOURVILLE, KY - The Knox County Sheriff's Department is reporting that: On Tuesday, November 16, 2021 Knox County Deputy Elijah Broughton conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no visible registration plate.
When Deputy Broughton approached the vehicle, he observed the driver attempting to hide something inside her clothing.
After arresting the driver, Jamie Tara Hoskins age 29 of London, KY Deputy Broughton charged her with:
- NO OPERATORS-MOPED LICENSE
- NO REGISTRATION RECEIPT
- NO REGISTRATION PLATES
During the arrest, Deputy Broughton also recovered:
- A plastic bag containing suspected Heroin
- A plastic bag containing suspected Methamphetamine
- Several syringes
- A set of digital scales
Jamie Hoskins (right) was then charged with:
- TRAFF IN CONT SUB, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFF - (> OR = 2 GMS METHAMPHETAMINE)
- TRAFF IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST OFFENSE (HEROIN)
- DRUG PARAPHERNALIA - BUY/POSSESS
In addition, Hoskins was wanted on an Indiana Department of Corrections Warrant for a Parole Violation and was also charged with:
- FUGITIVE FROM ANOTHER STATE - WARRANT REQUIRED
This individual was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
