SCOTTSVILLE, KY. (December 15, 2021) – The Kentucky State Police is reporting that on Tuesday, December 14th, 2021, at approximately 10:47 P.M., KSP, Post 3, Bowling Green received a request from the Scottsville Police Department to investigate a shooting incident that occurred in Allen County. Troopers and Detectives responded to 110 Moncrief Street in Scottsville, KY.
Kentucky State Police arrived at the residence and located Christopher Jones, 27, of Scottsville and Regina Ray, 63, of Scottsville, with gunshot wounds.
The initial investigation indicates that Ryan Slaughter, 34, of Scottsville made entry to the residence and shot both Jones and Ray.
Slaughter fled the residence and was later located in Scottsville and arrested.
Ryan Slaughter (right) was charged with:
- 2 Counts of Assault 1st
- Burglary 1st
- 3 Counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree
This individual was lodged in the Allen County Detention Center.

Christopher Jones and Regina Ray were transported to the University of Vanderbilt Hospital where Jones is listed in stable condition and Ray is listed in critical condition.
The investigation continues and is led by Kentucky State Police Detectives.
