RICHMOND, KY (April 1, 2022) - According to the Madison-County Sheriff KY Facebook page: On Thursday March 24th, 2022 at approximately 6:25 P.M. Deputy Keltner initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle, occupied by three persons, in the area of Cookout/S.Killarney, referencing traffic violations.
At the time of the traffic stop the operator failed to yield and fled in the motor vehicle, then exited the motor vehicle and fled on foot. After a foot pursuit, the operator was apprehended and identified as Mr. Paul Brown.
Once Deputy Keltner returned to the scene of the traffic stop, it was discovered that the remaining two occupants of the vehicle had also fled on foot.
The remaining occupants were both located and identified as Mr. Michael Gilbert and Ms. Caitlin Stokes.
The following persons were arrested:
The operator, Paul Brown age 32 of Dayhoit, was charged with:
• MULTIPLE TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS
• FLEEING OR EVADING POLICE, 1ST DEGREE (MOTOR VEHICLE)
• FLEEING OR EVADING POLICE, 1ST DEGREE (ON FOOT)
• TRAFF IN CONT SUB, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFF - (> OR = 2 GMS METHAMPHETAMINE)
• TRAFF IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST OFFENSE (HEROIN)
• TRAFF IN CONT SUB, 1ST OFFENSE (CARFENTANIL OR FENTANYL DERIVATIVES)
• POSSESSION OF HANDGUN BY CONVICTED FELON
• RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY (FIREARM)
• POSS CONT SUB 1ST DEG, 1ST OFF (METHAMPHETAMINE)
• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA - BUY/POSSESS
• OPER MTR VEHICLE U/INFL SUBST (189A.010(1C) - 1ST (AGG CIR)
• PUBLIC INTOXICATION-CONTROL SUB(EXCLUDES ALCOHOL)
• DISORDERLY CONDUCT, 2ND DEGREE
