MULTNOMAH CO, OR (May 16, 2023) - Multnomah County Sheriff's Office is reporting that on Saturday, May 13th, 2023, at approximately 4:30 a.m., an adult in custody (AIC) was found unresponsive in their cell at the Multnomah County Detention Center (MCDC).
Corrections deputies immediately began lifesaving measures and called for jail medical staff. Paramedics arrived and continued medical care. Despite lifesaving efforts, the adult in custody was pronounced deceased by paramedics.
As standard protocol, the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office Detectives Unit responded to perform the death investigation in conjunction with the Multnomah County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Preliminary findings by the Medical Examiner’s Office indicate the manner of death to be natural.
The adult in custody is identified as 31-year-old Allen George Walker. He was booked into Multnomah County Detention Center (MCDC) on May 10th, 2023.
