LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Nate Bishop along with Deputy Zach Allen arrested Darrel Anger age 31 of East Bernstadt on Friday night October 27, 2023 at approximately 7:47 PM.
The arrest occurred off TIB Drive approximately 5 miles southeast of London after deputies were dispatched to a disturbance complaint there.
While enroute to the scene deputies learned that allegedly a male subject was creating a disturbance by yelling and throwing items at the complainant's residence.
Upon arrival at the scene deputies learned that the individual had left walking.
Deputies received a description of the suspect and located him in the vicinity and conducted an investigation determining that he was under the influence.
During the investigation the suspect attempted to flee on foot and following a short foot chase, deputies caught the suspect who briefly struggled with deputies before being taken into custody.
Darrel Anger was charged with:
- Alcohol intoxication in a public place
- Resisting arrest
- Menacing
- Fleeing or evading police – second-degree – on foot
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
