LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Zach Allen along with Deputy Nate Bishop arrested John Ritchie age 30 of Jenkins, KY on Saturday night March 9, 2024 at approximately 10:37 PM.
The arrest occurred off Line Creek Road, approximately 7 miles South of London after deputies were dispatched to a possible domestic situation there.
Upon arrival at the scene both deputies noted hearing what sounded like individuals fighting inside the residence.
Deputies conducted an investigation and learned that allegedly John Ritchie had hit a female in the back of the head and dragged her around the house by her hair.
In addition, it was determined that allegedly this individual had struck another female there as well.
John Ritchie was charged with:
- Two counts of assault – 4th degree
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
