MOREHEAD, KY (March 11, 2024) – The Kentucky State Police (KSP) is reporting that on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 7:30 pm., KSP Post 8, Morehead was contacted by the Rowan County Sheriff’s Department for assistance with a death investigation.
The incident occurred at 55 Lafayette Drive in Morehead, KY.
Through the investigation, investigators determined that Mathew Paul Jones, 35 years of age from Morehead was in a physical altercation with Earl Glover, 60 years of age from Morehead.
During the altercation, Mr. Jones struck Mr. Glover several times. Mr. Glover was pronounced deceased by Rowan County Coroner John Northcutt at St. Claire Medical Center.
Mathew Jones was charged with:
- Murder
This individual was lodged in the Rowan County Detention Center. Bond is set at $100,000.00 CASH with a court appearance scheduled for Monday, March 18, 2024 at 11:00 A.M..
