LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Zach Allen along with K-9/shift Sgt. Gary Mehler and Deputy Daniel Reed arrested Franklin Keeling age 28 of London on Monday afternoon July 3, 2024 at approximately 3:19 PM.
The arrest occurred off West Laurel Rd. approximately 2 miles west of London after deputies were dispatched by London – Laurel County 911 Communication Ctr. to a complaint of a male subject that was allegedly beating on the door of a residence not his own demanding to come inside the residence.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they located the suspect in the front yard of the residence and determined that he was under the influence.
Upon arrest this individual attempted to pull away from arresting deputies but was taken into custody. It was determined through investigation that this individual was wanted on two outstanding warrants.
Franklin Keeling was charged with:
- Criminal trespassing – third-degree
- Public intoxication – controlled substances
- Resisting arrest
- Disorderly conduct – second-degree
- Menacing
In addition, this subject was charged on a Trigg District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of:
- Flagrant nonsupport
Also, this subject was charged on a Warren District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of:
- Two counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument – third-degree
- Theft by deception under $500
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
