Longtime TV Journalist Joins KY Attorney General's Office as Deputy Communications Director

FRANKFORT, KY – Attorney General Russell Coleman announced on Friday, November 01, 2024 that award-winning TV anchor and reporter Lauren Adams has joined the Attorney General's Office as Deputy Communications Director.

Adams will work alongside Communications Director Kevin Grout to lead the communications team to share the Office's accomplishments every day for the people of Kentucky.

"Lauren brings a tremendous wealth of talent to our Office. She has spent a career earning the trust of viewers in Louisville, West Kentucky and other parts of the country, and we are proud to put her dynamic abilities to work," said Attorney General Coleman. "Lauren's experience telling stories and connecting with people will prove invaluable as our Office continues to serve Kentucky families."

Adams joined WLKY in Louisville in 2013 as a reporter, eventually moving into a role that put her behind the anchor desk on Saturday and Sunday evenings. She previously spent time in newsrooms in Paducah and Georgia. Lauren graduated from the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. She lives in Louisville with her husband and two daughters.
