Kentucky Attorney General Coleman Honored for Efforts to Challenge Harmful Federal Mandates

LEXINGTON, KY – Attorney General Russell Coleman delivered remarks Monday at the Kentucky Petroleum Marketers Association (KPMA) Tank & Technical Conference, assuring Kentuckians of his commitment to protecting job creators and energy producers from harmful federal mandates and EPA rules.

Speaking to nearly 200 people in Lexington, Monday, November 4, 2024, General Coleman highlighted the Office’s lawsuits against the Biden-Harris Administration, including against nonsensical EV mandates and anti-coal rules. General Coleman is one of 24 AGs challenging the EPA’s methane gas emissions rule, which would punish energy producers here at home, drive up prices, and send allies to our adversaries for resources.

KPMA presented General Coleman with its 2024 Energy Advocate Award in recognition of his defense of Kentucky families in his first 10 months in office.

Accepting the award, Attorney General Russell Coleman said, “It’s a privilege to work alongside the job creators and partners at KPMA as we fuel Kentucky’s future. The Attorney General’s Office will keep fighting to protect Kentucky’s affordable and reliable energy to maintain our competitive advantage.”
