RICHMOND, KY - The Madison County Sheriff’s Office received a call to assist the Department for Community Based Services (DCBS) on January 16, 2025. Deputy Ben Tipton and Sgt. Donovan Nolan responded with DCBS to a possible sexual assault of a juvenile.
The initial investigation led to the case being reassigned to Sgt. Paul Lay. Continued investigation by Sgt. Lay led to the issuance of warrants for arrest on Joshua Hacker and Patrick Hacker.
Patrick Hacker was arrested on March 20, 2025 in Estill County by the Kentucky State Police. He has been charged with:
- Sexual Abuse 1st Degree
- Incest
- Rape 1st Degree
- Sodomy 1st Degree
- Sodomy 2nd Degree
- Strangulation 1st Degree (non-domestic)
Patrick Hacker was lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
Joshua Hacker was arrested by Laurel County Sheriff’s Office on March 20, 2025. He was charged with:
- Sexual Abuse 1st Degree
- Incest - person less than 12
- Rape 1st - victim less than 12
- Sodomy 1st Degree
- Sodomy 2nd Degree
Joshua Hacker was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
The case remains under investigation by Sgt. Lay.
