LONDON, KY — Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Bailiff Anthony Wagers arrested Robert Walter Barnes, age 30, of East Bernstadt on Friday morning July 11, 2025 at approximately 10:00 AM.
The arrest occurred in the Judicial Center in downtown London after this subject was observed with slurred speech and a strong odor of alcoholic beverages emitting from him. An investigation was conducted and this individual was determined to be under the influence. The subject, Robert Walter Barnes was taken into custody and transported to the detention center.
Robert Barnes was charged with:
- Public intoxication – controlled substances
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
