LSO Deputies Dispatched to Domestic Disturbance


Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Deputy Tommy Houston along with Deputy Shannon Jones arrested a Kentucky Hollow Road resident early Sunday morning September 4, 2016 at approximately 5:19 AM.

Arrested was Tresa Smith age 42 of Kentucky Hollow Road, London, KY.

The arrest occurred off Kentucky Hollow Road, approximately 3 miles north of London after deputies were dispatched to a domestic disturbance there.

Upon arrival deputies learned that apparently this subject came home intoxicated earlier in the day and physically assaulted her son causing bruises and abrasions on his arms and chest. Deputies determined that this subject was under the influence. In addition, this subject was wanted on outstanding warrants.

Tresa Smith was charged with assault 4th degree – domestic violence; and public intoxication – controlled substances. In addition, this subject was charged on a Laurel County bench warrant of arrest for failure to appear in court on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence and possession of a controlled substance – second-degree. Also, this subject was wanted on a Laurel County bench of arrest for failure to appear in court on a charge of criminal trespassing – second-degree.

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
