MANCHESTER, KY - Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that on February 15, 2020 at approximately 12:00 AM Clay County Sheriff Deputy Wes Brumley arrested Billie Smith, 40 of North Highway 66.

Mount Vernon, Ky. (February 14, 2020) – The Kentucky State Police, Post 11 London is investigating a fatal collision that occurred just after 2:00 PM on Thursday afternoon in  Rockcastle County on US 150 near Meritburg.

Campbellsville, Ky. (February 14, 2020) — On February 13, 2020, at approximately 4:32 p.m., the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch arrested Benjamin A. Sallee, 27, on charges related to unlawful distribution and possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Lieut. Chris Edwards with assistance from sheriff’s detectives and deputies arrested four individuals on charges of flagrant nonsupport on Thursday morning February 13, 2020. The arrests occurred in conjunction with the Laurel County attorney's office after leads were developed on their whereabouts. 

Respecting and enforcing the law, including criminal immigration law, is at the core of the Department of Justice’s mission.  Unfortunately, some state and local jurisdictions are attempting to impede or frustrate the Federal Government’s efforts, by enacting “sanctuary policies.”  The terms “sanctuary city” and “sanctuary jurisdiction” are not proper legal terms and actually have no consensus definitions.  Generally, a jurisdiction is considered to have “sanctuary policies” when the jurisdiction prevents or limits state and local law enforcement from working with their federal partners in some way.  While these policies vary widely in substance and scope, at a minimum, most limit the sharing of certain information between state and local police and federal law enforcement authorities.
