Homicide Investigation after Fatal Shooting in Madison Parish, Louisiana

TALLULAH, LA - The Louisiana State Police (LSP) report that on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at approximately 11:30 p.m., Louisiana State Police/CID/Detectives-Monroe Field Office (LSP MFO) were requested by the Madison Parish Sheriff’s Office (MPSO) to investigate a homicide that occurred inside the city limits of Tallulah.

The National Head Start Association (NHSA) recently recognized 12 Head Start grant recipients as part of NHSA's Program of Excellence Accreditation.  The accreditation entails a three-month application process that allows programs to showcase all facets of their operation through the 44 Indicators of Excellence framework. The NHSA Program of Excellence recognizes and supports innovative and outstanding Head Start and Early Head Start programs nationwide.

Vision Screenings for ALL Driver’s License Renewals in Kentucky Will be Required in 2025

FRANKFORT, KY – Few things are more important for safe driving than good eyesight. That’s why vision screening will be required in Kentucky next year for anyone renewing a Kentucky driver’s license. This new requirement, enacted during the 2021 General Assembly, aims to promote highway safety by ensuring that all drivers maintain good vision throughout their driving career.
