Bertha Bishop, age 65, departed this life on Friday, August 2, 2019 in Columbus, Indiana. She was born on Tuesday, July 13, 1954 in London, Kentucky to Carlos and Mary (Belt) Belt. She was a waitress.
She leaves to mourn her passing her companion: Jackie Bratcher; her children: Della Maxey of Richmond, KY; Tina Fields (Bobby) of Columbus, IN; Zacharus Bishop of London, KY; Teresa Pendergrass (Tommy) of London, KY; and one step-son: Albert L. Bishop (Bonnie) of KY; and 7 grandchildren: Layla and Kayla Sizemore of Manchester; Justin (Marie) Fields of Columbus, IN; Charles (Amy) Fields of Columbus, IN; Sarah Hammack of Columbus, IN and Tara Hoskins of London, KY; 13 great grandchildren; and 13 great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Hubert Bishop and her grandson: Stormy Dalton Smith.
A celebration of the life of Bertha Bishop will be conducted on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the Brown Mission Church. Rev. Henry Lloyd Deaton will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Hacker Cemetery in the Fogertown Community.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Monday after 6:00 PM at the Brown Mission Church.
