Olaf Andrews (Andy) Sword was born March 29, 1966 in Louisville, KY. He passed away on June 21, 2024 at the age of 58 at his home in Big Creek, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Ruth and Ray Sword, and his maternal grandparents, Woodrow and Martha Bowling.
He leaves surviving to mourn his passing two beloved sisters, Lita Diann Combs and husband, Robin, of Big Creek, KY and Maria Kim Tyo of Radcliffe, KY. He also leaves the following Nieces and Nephews, Darian S. Combs, Michael Sword, Christopher Sword and his wife, Tevy, Tara Sallee, William R. Sallee, Joshua P. Sallee, Joseph Ray Combs and Fiancee, Brooke, Joseph Bryant Combs, and Keeton Combs. Also surviving are his step daughter, Whitney and his beloved step grandson, Xavier McConnell. He also leaves a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Andy was a member of the Flat Creek Church of the Brethren, a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and was a truck driver by trade.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, June 25th at Flat Creek Church of the Brethren in Big Creek, KY, with Dave Balmer and Dwayne Yost officiating. Burial will follow at the family cemetery on Flat Creek.
Visitation will be held at 4:00 PM on Monday, June 24th at Flat Creek Church of the Brethren in Big Creek, KY.
