Attorney General Coleman Calls on Congress to Safeguard Americans' Constitutional Gun Rights

FRANKFORT, Ky. (June 11, 2025) – Attorney General Russell Coleman is urging Congress to protect the rights of law-abiding Kentuckians to carry concealed firearms. In a letter sent to U.S. House leadership, and signed by 24 attorneys general, General Coleman calls for the passage of the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act (H.R. 38), which would establish nationwide reciprocity for concealed carry permit holders and residents of constitutional carry states.

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: On Monday, June 9th, 2025, William Joseph Malicoat, age 43, of London pled guilty in Laurel Circuit Court to Convicted Felon in Possession of a Handgun to a recommended sentence of 13 years regarding an investigation conducted by Laurel Sheriff's Detective Tommy Houston and other Sheriff's investigators.

Lincoln County, OR - On June 3, 2025, Lincoln County Circuit Court Presiding Judge Sheryl Bachart sentenced Daniel Stuebgen (54-year-old) to 495 months (41.25 years) in prison for repeated sexual abuse of a 12-year-old child, who volunteered at Green Acres Beach & Trail Rides (Pacific City) and Happy Trails Feed & Tack (Lincoln City) in 2023, two businesses owned by Stuebgen and his ex-wife, Teresa Stuebgen.
