WINCHESTER, KY (September 6, 2022) — The Kentucky State Police is reporting that the KSP Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) has been requested by KSP Post 7 Richmond to investigate a pedestrian-involved crash that occurred on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at approximately 10:43 A.M. EST in Clark County.
A preliminary investigation indicates that a pedestrian received life-threatening injuries when he stepped into the path of a vehicle traveling east on Bert T. Combs Mountain Parkway at the 4-mile marker.
The vehicle involved in the collision is registered to KSP.
FOX 56 NEWS and WKYT NEWS are both reporting that the pedestrian is dead.
The deseased is still unidentified.
The investigation into the collision remains ongoing.
