Kentucky Attorney General Coleman and Monroe Commonwealth's Attorney Stockton Announce Child Exploitation Sentencing

FRANKFORT, KY – Attorney General Russell Coleman and Monroe County Commonwealth's Attorney Jesse Stockton announced Friday that action by the Attorney General's Department of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and prosecution from the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office resulted in the sentencing of Jason Pitcock, 41, of Fountain Run, for the possession and viewing of child exploitation material.

On June 20, 2024, Pitcock was sentenced to eight years in prison. Pitcock will also have to register with the Kentucky State Police Sex Offender Registry.

Pitcock previously pleaded guilty to four counts of Possession or Viewing of Matter Portraying a Sexual Performance by a Minor under the age of 12 (Class C Felony) and four counts of Possession or Viewing of Matter Portraying a Sexual Performance by a Minor under the age of 18 (Class D Felony).

"Those who exploit innocent children in our Commonwealth will receive a strong response from law enforcement and prosecutors here," said Attorney General Coleman. "Our DCI detectives and Commonwealth's Attorney Jesse Stockton collaborated extensively. Now this criminal is behind bars and potential predators will think twice about preying on Kentuckians."

"The actions committed by this individual are abhorrent, and I am proud to have played a role in ensuring he is no longer a threat to our community," said Commonwealth's Attorney Stockton. "I am grateful for this partnership with Attorney General Coleman and DCI. Together, we are making Kentucky safe."

DCI's Special Victims Unit in the Office of the Attorney General investigated the case. Commonwealth's Attorney Jesse Stockton prosecuted the case on behalf of the Commonwealth.
