She was born on Nov. 18, 1953 at Wooton, KY the daughter of the late George and Martha Cornett Melton. Joan was a life-long resident of Leslie County and had been a member of the McIntosh Church of God. Joan enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley music and had a favorite treasured Elvis Cup. She enjoyed having McDonald's Happy Meals, but she especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
